I work one-on-one with clients in a safe, caring, and confidential environment to help facilitate change and improve quality of life. I work collaboratively with clients to set goals and discover new resources on their path of healing. I also practice EMDR and IFS therapy, which can help to reduce anxiety as well as work through challenging or influential memories. I utilize a strength-based approach to therapy and I work collaboratively with clients to promote healing. Utilizing self-compassion, I help clients better understand themselves, their needs, and deepest aspirations. Some of the many topics commonly addressed in individual therapy are: self-esteem, family of origin issues, unresolved trauma, interpersonal issues, stress management, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, life transitions and parenting.
I work with couples in many different capacities and in all phases of their relationships. Whether a couple is looking to improve communication, rekindle that spark, adjust to a new phase of life, or peacefully separate, I can help couples work through a variety of challenges they may be facing. I utilize many research-based approaches to facilitate discussions between couples and set goals for the future of the relationship. I also offer a premarital and couples enrichment program that helps clients enrich and revitalize their relationship. Conflict resolution, decision-making, parenting, intimacy, conflict resolution, life transitions, forgiveness, in-law issues, step family dynamics, and work-home balance are just some of the many topics addressed in couples therapy.
I work collaboratively with families to improve communication and help to foster better relationships with one another. As a basis of therapy, I use a family systems approach. This approach helps to identify patterns of interactions within families that can be problematic or helpful for the family. Throughout therapy, I work with families to set goals and work towards solutions to help improve family dynamics. Some of the many topics addressed in family therapy are: blended family issues, grief and loss, conflict resolution, sibling conflict, life transitions, educational problems, separation or divorce, and unresolved past trauma.
I work with children and adolescents ranging from 5-18 years old. I utilize many research-based play therapy techniques in order to help children and adolescents overcome challenges they are facing. Play therapy can be helpful for children who have experienced trauma in their past or are needing support in their current situation. Common topics addressed in child or adolescent therapy are: past trauma, coping with a divorce or separation, bullying, sibling issues, educational deficits, self-esteem, interpersonal issues, grief, and life transitions.
